The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their sessions, we get asked all kinds of questions. So we wanted to compile a list of our 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with Melissa x Lynne!
Do You Share My Images?
Our number one priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life-changing experience, but that also makes it nerve-wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. these are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there ar photos that we would would like to share, we will always ask for your permission first, and only share what YOU are comfortable with!
Do I Have to Wear Lingerie?
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! there are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!
Do You Have Payment Plans?
We offer a few payment plan options! There is a creative fee due at booking to reserve your date, and the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the date of your shoot! If you want more time to be able to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few months out, and pay it off in payments! Let us know if this is something that you want to set up!
Is Hair and Makeup Included?
Professional hair and makeup with additional touch-ups throughout your session are included in all of our boudoir shoots! We believe it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup professionally done is a great way to do that! Our amazing artist, Raven, will help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!
Do You Photoshop My Images?
Yes. Complete and professional magazine-style retouching is included in your session and we work with you closely to learn more about what you do and do not want to be retouched! We always try to focus on creating the “best version” of you with very natural style editing.
Where Should I Buy Outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different styles and sizing! Victoria’s Secret, Adoreme.com, Torrid, Anna Bella’s Fine Lingerie, Gooseberry Intimates, Honey Birdette, Nasty Gal, Fleur Du Mal. If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let us know and we might know where to get it!
What Type of Print Products Do You Have?
We offer a variety of albums, luxury glass folio boxes with prints inside, and stunning wall art pieces! All gorgeous ways to proudly display your new artwork in your home! The hand-crafted albums and wall art galleries are our favorites. We absolutely love the feeling of flipping through an album with your images all printed perfectly on the pages, or walking into your bedroom and looking at yourself on the wall making the ultimate statement in your home. It is so surreal to see yourself like that!

Do You Offer Digitals?
All of our collections include some sort of print product and some also include digital files as well, but there is also an A La Carte menu that you can choose from as well! On this menu, we have the option to add on digital images to your collection! These digital images come in a private online gallery for you to download and share!
I’m Freaking Out! How Can I Calm My Nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness at the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the time so much better!
How Many Outfits Should I Bring?
This depends on your package. The creative fee includes 1-2 Outfits, then each collection includes more and can go all the way to 5-6 Outfits! We always say to bring more if you can’t decide and we will help you decide at your shoot!
Should I Get to My Shoot Early?
You should always plan to get to your shoot about 5-10 minutes early to find parking and get settled into the studio prior to hair and makeup!
Where Is Your Studio Located?
We have two gorgeous locations, one in Buckhead Atlanta, Ga and one in Fort Lauderdale, FL! We love both of our locations so much, its hard to choose a favorite as they each bring such a different feeling to the images!
